Mini Mission in Cheyenne (8-17-2026)

Sanctuary of the Cathedral of St. Mary in Cheyenne, Wyoming

During the years that I served as the Director of Pastoral Ministries and Superintendent of Catholic Schools (2009-2018) for the Diocese of Cheyenne, I was also assigned as a deacon to the Cathedral of St. Mary. I look back on those days with great fondness.

I want to let everyone know that I will be coming back to the cathedral for a “mini mission.” It will be one night and one night only. It happens in just two weeks on Monday, August 17, at 6:30 P.M. I will speak for about 75 minutes, and then we will have “DESSERTS WITH THE DEACON.” I’ll load you up with spiritual nourishment, and then we can tackle some tasty delights which may or may not keep me up half the night. Good times!

I have a lot of good questions for you to ponder when I am with you. By the end of the evening, I truly want your faith to be on fire.

I will provide you with a few samples right here of what is to come.

  1. Are you a follower of Christ by custom or conviction?
  2. Are you interested in being a saint, or are you committed to being a saint?
  3. What motivates you for worship?

It’s going to be a magnificent evening. I have been praying daily for everyone who will be in attendance. God is going to move powerfully in our midst. I extend an invitation to everyone in Cheyenne as well as northern Colorado. Folks in Fort Collins, it takes less than an hour to drive to Cheyenne. Come on up and experience the hospitality of the cathedral parishioners. You’ll be glad you did.
